Namufree (나무뿌리) means “tree root” in Korean language. It represents my deeply rooted design philosophy as well as my Korean heritage. It is a word that best describes me, as I often explore unfamiliar territories to find the living water, which becomes the essential nutrients for the body of my work.
Contrast, context, reference, collective, functional and direct are the keywords of my design philosophy. I believe that a successful design serves a purpose, rather than a collection of aesthetics or styles.
